Hanz Subsea Tie-in — delivered and in production
Complete control system software for Siemens Energy on the Hanz subsea tie-back to the Ivar Aasen platform — delivered through every phase and in production since 2024.
The project
Hanz is a subsea tie-in development connected to the Ivar Aasen platform, operated by Aker BP. For Siemens Energy, Agentas' founder developed the complete control system software on Siemens platforms — the software that lets the platform monitor and control the subsea equipment.
Scope of delivery
- Complete control system software development on Siemens platforms.
- Operator interfaces (HMI) for monitoring and control.
- Standardized subsea communication between the platform and the seabed equipment.
The delivery cycle
Hanz followed the full arc of a control-system delivery: software development and internal verification, factory acceptance testing with the integrated system demonstrated end-to-end, installation and on-site startup offshore, and finally handover to production operation. Each phase has to close cleanly before the next begins — the discipline that makes “in production since 2024” a statement rather than a hope.
Outcome
Delivered through all testing phases and on-site startup — the system has been running in production since 2024.
What this demonstrates
A complete delivery cycle, start to finish: development, factory acceptance testing, offshore commissioning, and handover to production operation. Hanz is the completed story behind the Symra work — same platform, same discipline, proven all the way through.
