E1 — a backup water supply for Norway's capital

Control software and operator interfaces for critical municipal infrastructure — delivered for OneCo Technology. Ongoing.

The project

The E1 project establishes a reserve water supply for Oslo — infrastructure the capital can fall back on. Agentas' founder develops the control software and the operator screens that will ensure reliable operation of the facility.

Scope of delivery

  • Control logic for process automation across the facility.
  • Operator screens for real-time monitoring and alarm handling.

Designing for reliability

A reserve water supply exists for the day everything else has failed — so the control system is engineered for the boring virtues: predictable behaviour, a clear alarm philosophy, and operator screens that make the state of the facility obvious at a glance. The same practices used offshore — structured control logic, systematic testing, disciplined change control — applied to infrastructure a capital city depends on.

Status

In the development and engineering phase — control logic and operator screens are being engineered.

What this demonstrates

The same discipline as offshore control systems, applied to municipal critical infrastructure — systems where downtime affects a capital city, not just a production report.
